30 new jobs for Killarney

Picture 3THIRTY new jobs are to be created in Killarney by the MC Group, a quarry operator and low energy building system manufacturer.
The group operates a number of quarry locations in Kerry and North Cork and it also has a manufacturing plant for its Thermohouse low energy building system in Coolcashlagh, Killarney which supplies the Irish and UK construction sector.
MC Group currently employs 85 full-time staff in Ireland and the UK.
The new jobs in Killarney will include engineers, sales and marketing positions, plant operators, fleet management, fitters and drivers.
Managing Director, Mike Cronin, remarked: “Recruitment is beginning immediately and it is envisaged that new employees will start over the next three months.”
The news has been welcomed by Deputy Michael Healy-Rae who said it is great to see a family business that started out from humble beginnings growing into a major employer.

“This has happened through sheer hard work and determination to succeed and by providing an excellent service and products,” he said.
