Under 20 players and veterans link up well

Dr Crokes News

Dr Crokes remain unbeaten in the league as a result of a 3-16 to 1-13 win over St Mary’s in Caherciveen. Goals from Jordan Kiely and David O’Leary helped in a big way to give them a 10-point lead at half-time, 2-9 to 0-5.
Crokes were well on top again in the third quarter and went into a 13-point lead in the final fifteen minutes. St Mary’s rallied strongly but a goal by Michael Potts settled Crokes down and they pushed on for a nine point win.
A positive were the displays of under 21 players Paul Clarke, Billy Courtney and Mark O’Shea and Kerry under 20 players David Shaw, Michael Potts and David Naughton who came off the bench and contributed well to this victory.

It was good also to see Jordan Kiely starting the game after a long time on the injured list and, as usual, he had his trademark goal and it was great to see Eoin Brosnan and Colm Cooper performing so well after almost two decades at senior level.
