58 points wins lady captain’s prize

COMPETITION was fierce as Ross Golf Club lady captain, Mary Gorman, hosted her open day on the course at the weekend with the prizes sponsored by Killarney Race Company.

Martina Cusack, Noreen O’Mahony and Joan Fleming had more reason than most to celebrate at the close of the day when they won first prize with an impressive 58 points.

In second place was a team comprising Noreen Coffey, Betty O’Farrell and Sinead Galvin on 55 points and in third were Sinead O’Shea, Tina O’Sullivan and Grainne McShorthall on 54 points.

Philip O’Brien, Racing Manager, presented the prizes on behalf of Killarney Race Company.
