The creative work of three new writers and directors will feature in the latest productions from Dochas Drama Group at the Killarney Avenue Hotel this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with the curtain rising each night at 8.00pm.
Flossing Around is written by Ger Madden and explores what happens when a woman, who has a fear of visiting the dentist, finally does so.
The cast are Mary Murphy, Geraldine McGlynn and Mikey F Griffin and the play is directed by Brian Bowler.
A Little Visitor, written by Brian Bowler, is a hilarious medical drama and at the centre of the play is Siobhan McAuliffe who plays a hypochondriac.
She is being treated by Patricia McSherry, Mabel Counihan and Neilus Stackpoole, all doctors, who have various ideas for her treatment. The play is directed by Ryan Jones
Faraway Hills, written by Mary Quirke, explores family dynamics and what happens when there is a son who can’t wait to leave home, a mother who doesn’t want him to leave and a father who can’t wait to see him gone.
The cast members are Conor Brosnan, Don Rohan and Liz Ryan and the play is directed by Michael Mills.
Tickets for the three plays are priced at €10 euro and they will be available at the door.
