Animal hunt, tree climbing and picnic treats for ScallyWags

Hi-ho, hi-ho, it’s off to the woods we go: Scallywags pupils on tour

CERTAINLY not short of energy and more than happy to help others, the children of ScallyWags Preschool in Killarney completed a fun-filled 5km walk in aid of a worthy cause.

The pupils at the Coolies, Muckross based facility hit the road to support Barnardos to help vulnerable young children of their own age.

As well as enjoying a fun adventure in the great outdoors, they raised a whopping €750 in sponsorship and donations on their walk from the preschool to Loughquittane Woods.

And on reaching their destination, they hunted for friendly animals, climbed trees, hiked through the flora and ended up with a well-deserved picnic.
Clad in their hi-viz yellow bibs, 13 children in total, aged from three to five, took part under the supervision of ScallyWags proprietor Patricia Quigley.
