TALENTED young sportswoman Leah McMahon will represent Ireland at the European Under 16 Basketball Championships in Slovakia in August and her club, St Paul’s, has organised a key fundraiser to help her on her way.

Leah, who is one of the best young basketball talents in the country, will carry Irish hopes when she takes to the court at the big event and Killarney and all of Kerry will be cheering her on from a distance.

To help offset some of the costs involved, the St Paul’s club will host a cake sale fundraiser at the Dr Crokes pitch on Lewis Road this Saturday from 10.00am to 1.00pm.

Everybody is invited to attend and to wish Leah well on her exciting journey.

The talented young basketballer – who is also an exceptional footballer with Dr Crokes – is the daughter of Karl and Áine McMahon. She has also been named vice captain of the Irish squad for the Euros.
