KERRY Airport has confirmed that it is to undertake a major refurbishment of its Gateway Bar and Restaurant to enhance the overall customer experience for passengers.
Work on the four-week refurbishment is set to start on Monday, January 12.
A coffee dock facility within the departures area for outbound passengers will be open during the month-long improvement works, while the bar and restaurant in the main airport concourse will be closed to facilitate the refurbishment.
Financial Controller at Kerry Airport, Basil Sheerin, said: “The recent redevelopment of the pre-boarding area in our departures lounge has been a great success and now it’s time for the bar and restaurant to follow suit. On completion of the work, we will be introducing a more efficient queuing system, incorporating a new self-service area.”
The restaurant will be fitted out with new catering equipment and an overall upgrade to lighting, furnishings and décor.
Kerry Airport services direct flights to seven destinations including London Luton, London Stansted, Frankfurt-Hahn, Berlin, Alicante and Faro with Ryanair and Dublin with Aer Lingus Regional.
