Brian pips double seeking John on countback

Ross Golf Club Captain Donie Broderick presents his prize to Brian O’Connor

Ross Golf Club Captain Donie Broderick held his eagerly awaited annual prize day in glorious weather and with a record breaking number of golfers participating.

The scoring was very tight and intense and when all the scores were finalised it was Brian O’Connor who won the day and he just pipped John Cuskelly, on a countback, to claim the coveted prize.

In fact, John Cuskelly was going for a very unique captain and president’s prize double.

The captain’s dinner took place on Sunday evening and it was followed by the presentation of prizes and a very enjoyable social evening with many of the golfers putting their singing and musical talents to good use and that really added to a very special night in the Ross.

At the presentation pf przies were Sheila O’Mahony, Brian O’Connor, winner Donie Broderick and captain Ross,
