Challenges and hopes to be debated at conference

The Great Southern Hotel

Hoteliers from all over Ireland will gather in Killarney for two days and nights early next month for the annual conference of the Irish Hotels Federation.

It will be held in the Great Southern Hotel on Monday and Tuesday, March 6 and 7 with more than 400 hotel and guesthouse owners or managers expected to gather.

They will discuss the opportunities and challenges facing Ireland’s tourism and hospitality industry in 2023 and beyond with topics of discussion to include initiatives to aid the ongoing recovery of the sector.

They will also debate best practice sustainability initiatives, tourism careers, the ongoing challenges related to spiralling business costs and Ireland’s tourism VAT rate in a European context.

Key addresses will be delivered by IHF president Denyse Campbell and chief executive Tim Fenn.
