IT’S a case of movers and shakers at Scott’s Lakers-St Paul’s this week as one prominent player returns to his native Canada but another highly-rated overseas signing joins the squad.
The club has extended best wishes to Ben Miller as he returns home to his native Canada and officials acknowledged the impact he had on the club through his involvement with the national league senior men’s team and his coaching of the club’s juveniles.
“We would like to thank him most sincerely for his time and effort,” said PRO Enda Walshe.
Meanwhile the club has rolled the red carpet on to the court to welcome Godwin Boahen who has played Division 1 Colleges Basketball with the University of Illinois in Chicago.
A great deal is expected from the new signing who will, hopefully, be settling in by the time Lakers face Limerick Sports Eagles and Celtics at home in December along with an away derby game against Killarney Cougars at the end of the month.
