THERE will no acting the goat in Killorglin this August following confirmation that Puck Fair has been cancelled.

The festival, which is held on August 10-12 every year, is the latest event to fall victim to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Organisers confirmed that the festival will not take place until 2021 in order to comply with government and World Health Organisation guidelines.

Festival Chairman, Declan Falvey, remarked: “We have been monitoring the situation since the onset of the virus and as the health, wellbeing, and safety of our visitors, volunteers and residents is paramount, and to comply with government legislation and guidelines, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all Puck Fair events this year”.

He thanked the public for the ongoing support and cooperation.
