KILLARNEY is again entertainment central with the return of the now legendary Gleneagle Summer extravaganza bringing a number of major musical events to the town.
Launched in recent days, every Monday night during July and August Michael English will take to the stage, the ever popular Brendan Shine will be there every Tuesday and king of country Mike Denver every Wednesday.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights will see a medley of singers and bands performing, including Johnny Brady, Lisa McHugh, Joe Dolan As it Was, Bagatelle, Brendan Grace, The High Kings and many more.
The public will also have ample opportunity to don their dancing shoes as Country Sunday returns with performances by Ireland’s best loved country stars including Cliona Hagan, Jimmy Buckley, Patrick Feeney, Ciaran Rosney and Paddy O’Brien.
It’s off to Grandma’s house on July 22 when Little Red Riding Hood and the Silly Billy Wolf will thrill younger audience and from July 10-14, the INEC will host Legally Blonde the Musical. The smash hit Broadway and West End show features X-Factor’s Lucy Jones, EastEnders’ Rita Simons and Bill Ward, star of ITV’s Coronation Street and Emmerdale. Legally Blonde The Musical is described as an all-singing, all-dancing romantic comedy and a fun-filled, feelgood pink fest.
Superstar Daniel O’Donnell will perform in his only summer concerts in Ireland in the INEC from August 14-19.
In addition to that, the international dancing phenomenon Riverdance returns to the INEC for a limited run from September 12-16.
