AN appeal has gone out tonight for help to track down a playful Jack Russell terrier who went missing during a walk in the national park at Muckross this Monday.
Answering to the name Alfie, he became spooked when his eye got stuck in something and ran off shortly after 12 noon.
His owner searched long and hard for Alfie and in the Dinis Cottage area but there was no trace of him.

The dog is microchipped and was wearing a collar.
“Everyone is so good but we are heartbroken. We just hope someone has taken him in for the night or that he has found a warm shelter. We just want him home,” Alfie’s owner said.
Anyone that might be looking after Alfie or might have seen him during the course of the day is asked to call Donal on 085-1286060 or contact KillarneyToday.com by email on news@killarneytoday.com, on Facebook or call 087-2229761 and we’ll alert the owner.
