Two worthy Kerry charities have shared a €16,000 windfall thanks to the golfers that participated in the captain’s charity days at the Ross Golf Club in Killarney.
The event was a great success and, as a result, the Kerry Cancer Support Group and St Francis Special School in Beaufort each received a cheque for €8,000.
Captain Donie Broderick and all the committee have acknowledged the generosity of the main sponsors, Independent Irish Health Foods, Killarney Race Company and MD O’Shea’s.
In addition, the captain said, the generosity of all the team, tee-box and raffle prize sponsors is greatly appreciated and played a vital role in the overall success of the event.
“The two big winners are our chosen charities and all in the Ross Golf Club are delighted to be able to assist both of them in their fantastic work,” Donie said.
