Five Covid cases in University Hospital Kerry

THREE new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Kerry this bank holiday Monday.

The total number of people infected in the county now stands at 298.

As of 8 o’clock on Sunday night, five patients were being treated in University Hospital Kerry for complications arising from Covid-19 and three of them were in the critical care unit.

Nationally, there were 16 additional deaths reported today bringing the total number of fatalities to 1,319.

Additionally, there were 266 new confirmed cases of infection and there are now 21,772 people who have contracted Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland.
