Junior set dancing classes – a great way of keeping a wonderful cultural traditional alive – will commence on Wednesday, October 9 at Fossa Community Centre but the registration evening for those wishing to participate is scheduled for this Wednesday, October 2, at the centre, from 5.30pm to 6.00pm.
Organised and run by Fossa Two Mile Comhaltas, the hour-long classes will be held every Wednesday from 5.30pm with a minimum age of seven for participants, both boys and girls.
There is a wonderful special introductory offer of nine classes for €40 and that includes membership to Fossa Two Mile Comhaltas.
Places will be limited so it is important to avail of the registration evening and classes need to be paid for in advance.
Set dancing is a great Irish tradition and when the art is learned at a young age, it stays with people for life.
