Funding up to €6,000 for creative scheme grants

The organisers want to cultivate wellbeing in communities to increase people’s participation in and ownership of creative experiences

Creative Ireland Kerry, through Kerry County Council’s Arts Office, has confirmed that applications for the Creative Communities Grants Scheme 2025 are now being accepted.

Applications are welcome from community groups, creative practitioners and organisations for community-rooted stand-alone projects that incorporate creativity and culture. The organisers want to cultivate wellbeing in communities, increasing people’s participation in and ownership of creative experiences.

The scheme has funding of up to €6,000 available to community projects with creative aspects engagement and a closing showcase event before October 2025.

Applications should focus on creative and cultural engagement projects and must ensure a significant degree of community participation, impact and engagement. New, ambitious and meaningful collaborations between creative practitioners, organisations or community groups are encouraged.

This year, previously successful applicants that wish to build on the impact they achieved to date, of growing creative engagement within the community, can apply to continue and build on their work by further developing creative engagement. In all applications the creative practitioner and community must be identified and be based in Kerry.

The application form and guidelines are available now in the ‘Forms/Funding’ section of the Arts Office website at www.arts.kerrycoco.ie and the closing date for applications is 1.00pm on Thursday, February 27.

For anyone interested in finding out more, there will be a free, one-hour information session online taking place on Tuesday, February 11from 6.3pm–7.30pm. This will be facilitated by Kerry County Council’s Arts Officer, Kate Kennelly, and Creative Communities Engagement Officer Emma Carmody.
