GARDAI in Killarney will be dancing to a different beat when the swap their uniforms for ball gowns and tuxedos.

The annual Kerry Garda Division black tie ball is taking place on Friday, October 4 in the Killarney Oaks Hotel and all profits on the night will be donated to the Kerry Rape Crisis Centre.

The €70-a-head event will commence with a champagne and canapé reception followed by a five-course dinner, dancing to the Bentley Boys and a late night disco.

One of the highlights of the evening will be the best garda dancer competition and rivalry is expected to be pretty intense as last year’s agile winner went on to become a dancer of international renown when he trended on social media dancing to the beat on the street at this year’s Rose of Tralee festival.
