A HUSBAND and wife who have been at the centre of rally promotion in Killarney for over 40 years now have another major milestone to celebrate as they mark the golden jubilee of their wedding.

Mike and Noreen Marshall, of Muckross Grove, Killarney, are renowned for their logistical skills when organising car rallies and outdoor events across the country and they have spearheaded the promotion of the sport they love in Killarney down through the years.

They have both held several positions within the club with Mike serving as a very efficient clerk of the course and Noreen as club secretary.

They celebrated the 50th anniversary of their marriage at the weekend and they were joined by their children, their spouses and their grandchildren for a memorable occasion.

A few short years ago Mike and Noreen were honoured with a prestigious lifetime achievement award by Killarney and District Motor Club to mark their commitment and passion for motorsport over four decades.
