TEAM captain Mark Greene produced a masterclass to get Scott’s Lakers of Killarney back to winning ways with a comprehensive 105-86 victory over Tolka Rovers of Dublin on Saturday night.
Greene notched a game high 29 points – including nine threes – to the delight of the home crowd at Killarney Sports and Leisure Centre.
After suffering back-to-back defeats, Lakers were glad to return to form and they were always in control in this one, leading 35-20 at the end of the first quarter, 60-40 at half-time and 87-58 at the close of the third quarter.
Greene, with seven threes in the first half and two in the second, was in devastating form and he received good support from Dalian Mason and Papito Hersisia, both on 21 points, and Sean O’Brien on 17 in a game which saw the Killarney side accumulate 20 three-pointers in all.
