Ideas sought from children for festival programme

Kerry County Council’s Arts Office is seeking feedback from young people about what they would like see
included in this year’s programme

THE annual day of free creativity for children and young people – Cruinniú na nÓg – has been scheduled for Saturday, June 12 and, in advance of the event, Kerry County Council’s Arts Office is seeking feedback from young people about what they would like see included in this year’s programme.

Kerry County Council Arts Officer, Kate Kennelly, said it is a day for creativity and a chance for the children to try out new things or learn more about art forms they are already interested in so the organisers are keen to hear any ideas they might have.

As with last year, Cruinniú will be an online only event for 2021.

“Safety comes first but there has been a lot of learning around online events in the last year and I am sure it will be a great day for children and young people,” she said.

“Online events allow for events to reach audiences and participants from every corner of the county,” Kate added.

Those interested in contributing should email the Arts Office at [email protected] for a short questionnaire on what activities and events they would like to see.
