A very informative South Kerry Jobs Fair, which proved a huge success last year, is being planned for the Great Southern Hotel in Killarney on Thursday, March 2nd.
The event, which will run from 10.00am to 1.30pm, is being organised by Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce, in conjunction with the South Kerry Development Partnership CLG, and it is open to all businesses seeking staff and all those in search of employment opportunities.
Bridget O’Keeffe, Senior Executive with Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce, said the inaugural fair was a fantastic success in 2022, attracting over 800 people. It featured over 50 exhibitors and close on 1,000 available jobs were promoted on the day.
“Collaboration between the South Kerry Development Partnership and the Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce will ensure a wide range of exhibitors from many different sectors again this year,” Ms O’Keeffe said.
“I can see the tremendous value this will bring to south Kerry. Hosting the event early this year gives exhibitors an even greater opportunity to find the right candidates for roles within their organisations earlier in the season.
“Jobs will be available in all sectors which will help support the wider community,” she added.
Katy Jacobi, Events Manager with Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce, said she expects to see a strong turnout at the event as it is building on the success of last year and given the continuing demand for staff across all sectors in South Kerry.
“The fair offers an excellent opportunity for all job seekers in the region to meet with employers from a wide variety of businesses,” Ms Jacobi stated.
This year jobs will again be available in all sectors, including tourism and hospitality, engineering, finance, retail and marketing.
There is no charge to exhibit at the event but advance registration is essential to secure an exhibition space.

There is no registration required for jobseekers but those attending that are currently in search of work or seeking a new beginning are encouraged to bring an up-to-date curriculum vitae with them on the day.
