Kilcummin GAA Club honours top achievers

Kilcummin GAA Club hosted its annual awards night in the clubhouse which was preceded by a Mass for its deceased members.

The development squad members received their medals for winning the Division 2 Shield while Philip Casey received the Adrian Moynihan cup having been selected as junior player of the year, signifying his year-round commitment and mentoring of younger players.

Chris O’Leary was named senior player of the year for his outstanding performances as well as assuming responsibility for marking top opposition players throughout the year.

Mark O’Shea won the young player of the year award for the huge strides he made after graduating from minor ranks as well as his positive unassuming attitude.

The club person of the year award was awarded jointly to Barry and Breda Duggan for their enormous contribution to the club which has greatly enhanced the club and wider community.

They received the Pat Joe Teahan cup to a standing ovation from the large appreciative audience.
