Laura’s big day was a great success

Ciara Lowe, winner of Lady Captain Laura Furlong’s Captain’s Prize at Beaufort Golf Club, celebrates with her family.

THERE was no shortage of excitement and great action and a real sense of occasion for Laura Furlong’s prestigious Lady Captain’s Day at Beaufort Golf Club.

21 years ago Laura started playing golf and won her first captain’s prize in the millennium year.

There was a great turnout on Sunday with some great scoring and top class individual performances.

A presentation was made to Laura from the ladies’ club in the morning and the presentation of prizes to the various winners took place that evening.
