Linda’s passing causes shock and sadness

KILLARNEY has been deeply shocked and greatly saddened by the passing of Linda Eviston who was very well known and hugely popular in the town where she and her husband, Patrick, own and operated the Eviston House Hotel and Brook Lodge Hotel.

Née Lucey and originally from Curraglass, Glenflesk, Linda lived at Dromkerry in Fossa with Patrick and their two children, Erik and Alannah.

Predeceased by her mother, Mary Lucey, Linda is further survived by her father Noel, sisters Karen, Sandra, Deirdre and Áine, uncles Donal and Steve Shine, father-and-mother-in-law Eddie and Joan Eviston, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and so many dear friends.

Linda passed away, peacefully, at home on Saturday in the care of her family who have asked for donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to be made to the Irish Cancer Society.

In accordance with Government and HSE guidelines and in the interest of public health, a private funeral will take place for Linda in St Mary’s Cathedral.

The Requiem Mass will be live-streamed on this Monday morning at 10.30am with burial afterwards in Aghadoe Lawn Cemetery.
