
Over 600 people attended the Kerry Clubs Fair at Killarney Racecourse last Sunday to view exhibitions and information stands hosted a wide variety of clubs and voluntary organisations.
The event, which set out to highlight volunteering opportunities and new activities everyone can participate in, was organised by Killarney Lions Club and sponsored by Killarney Credit Union.
“This was the third Kerry Clubs Fair and once again the turnout was fantastic,” said Killarney Lions Club President, Denis Doolan.

“The feedback from all who attended was very positive, which is thanks to the great effort put in by clubs and organisations like Kerry Local Link, Killarney Valley Classic and Vintage
Club, Kerry Stars Special Olympics Club, Camp Drama Group and many, many more. We are very grateful everyone to all who took part,” he added.
Karena McCarthy, Marketing and Development Officer with, Killarney Credit Union said some great clubs and organisations were there showcasing all that is good about communities and also the importance of being involved and volunteering.
The Killarney Lions Club, through its members, assists various groups and individuals in and around the community through voluntary activities, fundraising and by holding various types of events in support of a great many local causes.
