Magic tricks and ice cream licks at fun-filled party

FAVOURITE toys feeling a little out of sorts were given plenty of tender loving care and a sticking plaster at the teddy bears’ hospital, quick-handed magicians and nutty scientists left everybody wondering how they did what they just did and crafty face-painters created their own superheroes, tigers, lions and bears at a fun-filled party to celebrate a landmark birthday for a popular Killarney shopping centre.

Dearbhla and Lauren Kiely, Fossa, had their faces painted at the family fun day in Killarney Outlet Centre

It was all systems go at Killarney Outlet Centre on Sunday afternoon as the businesses based there celebrated its 20th birthday in great style with the type of family celebration for which the centre has become famous.

Kingdom Party Pals kept the younger generation entertained while the adults got an opportunity to avail of some incredible 20th anniversary special offers in the various stores.

There was balloon modelling, bouncy castles, magic shows and Punch and Judy drama as well as a wonderful informative animal roadshow – complete with slithering lizards – and a fun-filled Brickx Club.

Killarney Outlet Centre is ingrained into the very fabric of Killarney community life through its hugely popular annual Halloween parties, Christmas markets, the Santa’s Grotto experience and Easter Bunny visits as well as being the established base for several community celebrations and launches.

“At the very outset we set out to create a real family-orientated space and we are delighted that we achieved that goal. We love seeing kids having great fun around the place and they always have a fabulous time when we host our family fun days,” said manager Paul Sherry.
