MARY MacMonagle and Jack Buckley shared the limelight when they clinched the sought-after ladies and men’s prizes on Killarney Golf and Fishing Club President Marguerita Mulcahy’s big prize day.
Mary won the President’s Cup and the Loughnane Cup with an impressive performance and she edged out Bridie Doyle Kay O’Connor, Eileen Whelan and Eileen Galbraith while Mairead Martin had the best gross.
Other ladies on top of their game on the day included Ursula Daly, Alicia Burke, Helen Howard and Sinead Lynch while the guest prize went to Ogie O’Sullivan.
Mege Dalton took the honours on the front nine, the back nine prize went to Muireann O’Farrell and Mary Geaney won the past president’s prize.
Other prizewinners on the day were Nuala Meade (seniors), Marie Geaney (putting) and Ann Katrin Meyer Schwickerrath (overseas).
Jack Buckley won the men’s prize and others to feature prominently included Mike Hayes, Stephen O’Neill, Christian Casey, Martin Byrnes, Maurice Lyons, John Moynihan, Simon Clifford, John Kelliher, Kevin Carroll, Daithi Casey, Alan Brady and Mike Neeson.
