Mistaken caravan identity leads to chaos

Ladies who holiday: Bridget Cahillane, Edel Moriarty, Martha Fleming, Gina O’Shea and Sarah Pigott

IT’S almost time for a cry of ‘lights, curtains, action’ in Killorglin as the talented CYMS Players present their take on the hilarious comedy Widows’ Paradise which will feature an entirely local cast.

Set in the 1960’s, the action takes place in a luxury caravan with five ladies embarking on a strictly women only holiday, set beautifully in the countryside.

The key roles are played by Bridget Cahillane,  Edel Moriarty, Martha Fleming, Gina O’Shea and Sarah Pigott and there is mayhem when a case of mistaken caravan identity sees the holiday plans thrown into disarray.

Adding a touch of chaos: Donal Pigott, Brian O’Sullivan, Vivian O’Callaghan James Riordan and Colm Clifford

Everything becomes even more farcical with the arrival of no nonsense alpha-male, played by Donal Pigott, his side-kick played by Brian O’Sullivan and the next generation represented by Vivian O’Callaghan.

Add to the mix a couple of surprise visitors, in the form of characters played by James Riordan and Colm Clifford and there’s a basis for chaos. What was supposed to be a scene of peace and tranquility turns into a riotous clash of the sexes, each with their own story to tell!

The play, directed by Brendan Reidy and Mary Gallagher, will run in the CYMS Community Hall on March 25-27 inclusive and again from April 1-3.

Admission is €13 and the booking office contact number is 066-9762053.
