New identify unveiled by twinning group

The new Killarney Town Twining Association emblem

A NEW emblem has been unveiled by the Killarney Town Twining Association.

It is based on the old town council logo and funding for the creation of the new design has been provided by the Killarney Municipal District Council fund.

The emblem will feature in future exchanges between the Town Twining Association and its twin and sister towns and cities, the most immediate being an exchange programme planned with Pleinfeld in Germany and a student golf exchange with Scottsdale, Arizona.

Twining Association Chairman, Seán Counihan, said a full programme of events will be finalized in the coming months to promote our mutual exchanges in culture, sport and the economy.

Killarney is twinned with Pleinfeld in Germany, Kendal in the UK, St Avertin in France, Staffanstorpm in Sweden, Castiglione di Sicilia in Italy and the US cities of Concord, Myrtle Beach, Cooper City and Springfield.
