In excess of 800 officially registered at the door and at least 200 more attended a major jobs fair in Killarney on Wednesday at which details of over 1,000 positions available locally were outlined to interested parties.

Hosted by the Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce and the South Kerry Development Partnership, the event was in progress for three and a half hours and it afforded employers and job seekers an opportunity to discuss the options available and what the various positions entailed.

The event, held in the Great Southern Hotel, featured information on a huge variety of full-time, part-time, seasonal and remote jobs and it gave job hunters an opportunity to connect with employers from many industries and sectors.
