Nature after dark was put in the spotlight in Killarney as part of a guided walk held to mark National Heritage Week.

It all took place in Killarney National Park at Knockreer and the nocturnal nature ramble was led by Chris Barron of the National Parks and Wildlife Service Education Centre Staff of Killarney National Park and Conservation Rangers National Parks and Wildlife.
Families turned out in force and by torchlight to see many of the creatures that go out and about after dark.
It was a hugely entertaining experience and those participating even managed to get to hold and inspect creatures, like bank voles, at close quarters.
