There are now 66 known cases of Covid-19 in Kerry

FOUR additional cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Kerry today bring the total number of Covid-19 infections in the county to 72.

A further 13 patients in the country – nine males and four females – who had been diagnosed with Covid-19 have now died bringing the total number of fatalities to 98.

One of those that died was in the south with nine in the east of the country and three in the west. The median age of victims is 82 and 10 patients were reported as having underlying health conditions.

The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has been informed of 402 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland, as of lunchtime this Thursday.

There are now 3,849 confirmed cases in Ireland.
