KERRY hospitality businesses that might benefit from a little bit of advice from two colourful hoteliers have been invited to apply to RTÉ’s At Your Service as the team behind the hit show is anxious to see the Kerry area featured in the new series.
The popular programme, now in its 11th year, has featured many of the county’s businesses in the past, including Killarney View House on Muckross Road and Sandy Feet Farm in Camp which was filmed in 2017 and will be broadcast later this year.
This year the producers are on the lookout for different and unusual projects as well as hotels, guesthouses, B+Bs, caravan parks and self-catering cottages.
“Anybody thinking of diversifying by opening a shop, a tearoom or other start-up business with a catering or hospitality element, should get in touch if they think the Brennans could help,” a spokesperson from Waddell Media commented.
The brothers bring years of experience of running a successful hotel to the table and they hope to inspire others to up their game and bring in new business.
They look at staffing, analyse catering arrangements and suggest new menus and well as inspecting every room and offering advice about redecoration as they look for new ways to exploit the less obvious aspects of each property. While Francis Brennan conducts the main inspection and devises an overall strategy, his brother John looks at money issues and explores new marketing opportunities and suggest ways to develop in the future.
