Orienteering event with a difference planned

The orienteering format is an urban come-and-try-it event

AN orienteering event with a difference, with competitors running through the town centre as opposed to the rugged countryside is being planned for Killarney foe Sunday next, December 8.

It’s the annual festive season get-together for the Kerry Orienteering Club and individuals, groups and families, aged from eight to 80, are invited to participate.

The format is an urban come-and-try-it event and it will offer those that get involved a chance to explore the streets and lanes around the town.

The starting point is Killarney Community College on New Road and people can get underway at a time that suits them from 11.00am to 1.00pm.
