FIVE more cases of coronavirus have been notified in Kerry this Friday and that brings the total number of infections in the county since the outbreak of the pandemic to 1,323.
Nationally today, there were seven additional deaths and 206 further cases confirmed.
That brings the total number of Covid-19 related fatalities to 2,043 and the number of people known to have contracted the virus to 71,699.
Early this afternoon there were 248 patients being treated for the virus in hospitals with 35 in intensive care units. There have been 10 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours
Of the cases notified today, 105 are female and 101 are male with 67 per cent under 45 years of age. The median age is 34.
64 of the latest reported cases are in Dublin, 23 in Limerick, 20 in Donegal, 18 in Cork, 14 in Louth and 14 in Meath with the remaining 53 cases in 18 other counties, including the five in Kerry.
The total number of healthcare workers that have been infected now stands at 11,803 and the number of cases associated with clusters is 39,289.
