Graffiti supporting war-ravaged Palentine has been painted on to the ground along popular walking routes in Killarney National Park.
Created with the use of stencils and using a bright yellow spray paint, the slogans can be found in a number of areas along the Fossa Way which is a popular walking route from Fossa to Knockreer.
The messages painted on to the ground, in most instances, state: “Free Palestine: Silence is complicity” or “Stop the Gaza genocide”.

It’s not the first time the national park has been used to make a political statement as carvings previously appeared on numerous trees with concerns voiced at the time that they could be linked to symbols in support of Putin’s Russia.
The carvings were spotted on trees along the Fossa Way, in the park at Muckross and on the grounds of Killarney Golf and Fishing Club and some suggested that the distinctive Z-shaped lettering was similar to motifs painted on Russian tanks and military trucks that had invaded Ukraine.
Gardai confirmed at the time that they were aware of the matter and they were monitoring the situation.
