The search for a man who had been reported missing in Tralee has ended after the discovery of a body shortly before noon this Thursday.
Kilgarvan man, Con O’Donoghue (53) had been missing since last Monday evening and extensive searches involving gardai, family, friends, community organisations and rescue teams had been taking place on a daily basis.
Prayers were offered throughout the county that the father of three would be found safely but gardai confirmed today that the remains of a man had been found and the search had been stood down.
The grim discovery was made in the Millennium Walkway area of Tralee.
