Pres girls make it a happier Christmas

The third year students with some of the goods they collected for the food appeal

ENTHUSIASTIC and kind-hearted students of a Killarney secondary school have donated several boxes and bags packed with food to those a little less fortunate in the lead up to the festive season.

Third year pupils in St Brigid’s Secondary School collected a whopping 15 boxes and 24 bags of non-perishable groceries and other goods to be distributed by the local St Vincent de Paul organisation.

The initiative, in response to the annual SVP Christmas food appeal, was organised by the 3 Red class with support and encouragement from teacher Alice Quilter.

Killarney St Vincent de Paul member Breda Dwyer and some of her colleagues called to the school and was delighted to collect the very generous donations from the caring young students.
