Presidential salute for Killarney Credit Union

KILLARNEY Credit Union welcomed a very special visitor to its offices on Beech Road when Irish League of Credit Unions President, Charles Murphy, met with management and staff.

The ILCU was set up by a small group of credit unions in 1960 to represent and service affiliated branches on the island of Ireland and last year there were close on 400 credit union’s affiliated in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.

It was founded to provide representation, leadership, co-operation, support and development for credit unions.

Mr Murphy was officially welcomed to Killarney by Chairman, Pat Sheehan, Chief Executive Officer, Mark Murphy, John Long, Chairman, Chapter 23 Kerry and West Limerick, Business Development Officer Helen Courtney Power and Financial Controller Stephen Darmody.

Killarney Credit Inion currently has over 25,000 members in Killarney and Kenmare, encompassing Fossa, Kilcummin, Glenflesk, Beaufort, Kilgarvan, Sneem, Kileentierna, Tuosist and Firies.
