SIX days after she was reported missing, the search for Killarney teenager Maria Brosnan continues at pace but gardai have confirmed that there is still no trace of her.
She was last seen at 10.00am last Wednesday, at Clash, Tralee, and her family and friends are now very concerned for her wellbeing.
The investigation has included enquiries at all airports and ports and the immigration authorities are also actively involved in the case. Gardai are hoping that the ongoing probe at points of exit from the country might shine some light on the mystery disappearance of the popular 19-year-old from Fossa, Killarney.
Confirmation on certain aspects of the case are still awaited from the airport authorities.
“Our investigation is continuing and we are following a number of lines of enquiry,” Sgt Dermot O’Connell told KillarneyToday.com.
The investigation is now being controlled by a case team at Tralee Garda Station as the last known sighting of Maria was in the town.
The missing teenager is described as approximately 5ft in height, with brown eyes and long dark brown hair with red hair dye.
When last seen she was wearing blue jeans, black runners, a floral top with black or navy background, a dark green fleece and a blue rain jacket and she had a large navy and beige handbag.
