Seven hospitalised with Covid in the past 24 hours

TWO more people have died and 303 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed although no information is available as to how many positive cases were diagnosed in Kerry at the weekend.

Of the deaths reported today, one occurred this month and the other in March.

There have now been 4,785 deaths of people with coronavirus in Ireland with 240,945 known cases of infection.

Of the cases notified today, 167 are male and 135 are female with 75 per cent under 45 years of age. The median age of those affected is 32 years old.

As of 8.00am today, 213 Covid-19 patients were hospitalised of which 53 were in intensive care. There have been seven additional coronavirus related admissions to hospital in the past 24 hours.
