Sister Act saving the day for Muckross Rowing Club

IT’S a real sister act for Muckross Rowing Club in Killarney which is in a very unique position of being able to continue its rigorous training schedule as there have no less than 11 sets of sisters in the ranks.

They can train together without social distancing repercussions and they do so in doubles in keeping with Covid-19 outdoor restrictions.

Five sets of sisters train regularly with the assistance of sisters, Áine and Shauna O’Sullivan, in the launch boat and it enables Ireland’s oldest rowing club members to stay fit and ready for action when it resumes.

Sisters included in this super shot by Valerie O’Sullivan are Martha and Maeve Doolan, Caolfhionn and Eimera Doyle, Evie and Lynn Fahy, Sorcha and Liadh Beazley and their sister Eimear Beazley.
