A VERY distinctive pick-up truck stolen on Muckross Road in Killarney at 6.25am today was tracked down by gardai in Tralee tonight.
The grey coloured Nissan Navara, pictured here, had a number of bales of hay in the back when it was stolen and crashed through a heavy barrier gate, causing damage to the front of the vehicle.
It was later reported to have been travelling in the Barraduff, Gneeveguilla and Killorglin area and gardaí issued an appeal through KillarneyToday.com for the public to remain on the lookout for the vehicle.
The jeep’s owner, Michael Tangney, confirmed a short while ago that the vehicle has been found.
“I would like to thank anyone who messaged us and rang us about sightings as well as KillarneyToday, Kilcummin Commuity Alert and Gardaí for their help in retrieving the jeep,” he said.
“Luckily, no member of the public was hurt,” Michael added.
