A super show that thrilled the opening night patrons

IT was a pink fest and it was a fun fest and it sent everyone home with smiles on their faces.

The Killarney premiere of the smash hit West End musical, Legally Blonde, was a major triumph with patrons thrilled by the all-singing, all-dancing and all-skipping production that will run at the INEC until Saturday night.

With Lucy Jones as Elle Woods, Eastenders star Rita Simons in the hilarious role of Paulette Bonafonté and former Coronation Street and Emmerdale star Bill Ward as Professor Callahan, it was a thrill-a-minute performance that earned all involved a standing ovation at the final curtain.

Even the two canine stars – a Chihuahua called Bruiser and a big brutish bulldog called Rufus – were sensational and it was a very special night for the Barrett family from Kilgobnet in Beaufort whose family dog, Bruno, played the role of Rufus.

Directed and choreographed by Anthony Williams, co-choreographer Dean Street and musical supervisor and musical director James McCullough, the tour is produced by Martin Dodd for UK Productions Ltd.
