Suspected heroin seized after car search

Gardai discovered what is believed to be heroin with an estimated street value of €3,000

GARDAI have arrested two men and seized approximately €3,000 of suspected heroin in Castleisland.

Members of the Kerry Divisional Drugs Unit stopped a car in Knockananlig, outside the town, shortly after 9.30 last night.

Following a search of the car, Gardai discovered what is believed to be heroin with an estimated street value of €3,000. The suspected drugs will now be sent for analysis to confirm what it is.

One of the men is in his late teens and the other is in his early 20s and both were brought to Tralee Garda Station to be interviewed.
