KILLARNEY Rugby Football Club members were thrilled to learn that its youth section has been named Club of the Year by Munster Rugby.
This is in acknowledgement of the hard work being done by so many people as well as the huge commitment shown by all the players, parents and coaches of the under 14, under 16 and under 18 squads, male and female.
The success comes just years after winning the Minis Club of the Year award and it reflects the hard work of all involved in the hugely progressive Aghadoe-based club.
Club Chairman, Ger Moynihan ,remarked: “It’s a tremendous award and it highlights the incredible work being done by the club over the last number of years”.
He added: “We’ve a dedicated, hardworking team of coaches, players and club members who are all volunteers. This is a reward building from the successful pathways put in by the club”.
It was a particularly sweet success for the club’s youths’ coordinators, John O’Connell and Fiona Landers.
