A Pink Night fundraiser planned by the ladies’ committee of Kilcummin GAA Club, which had been already rescheduled for this coming Saturday night due to weather concerns, has again been postponed as a result of the ongoing big freeze.
It will now go ahead on Saturday, January 18 in The Kiub Bar in Kilcummin, commencing at 8.00pm.
Proceeds, for the third year, will be in aid of Comfort for Chemo and there is always wonderful support on offer for this tremendous cause.
The organising committee has encouraged everybody planning to attend on the night to wear pink and there will be prizes on the night for best dressed female and male.
Top quality entertainment will be provided and there will be an abundance of door and raffle prizes.
Meanwhile, the Kilcummin branch of Comhaltas Ceolteori Éireann will welcome VIP visitors and great friends from Cahir Comhaltas in Tipperary for a rousing session on Friday, January 17.
The Klub Bar will again be the venue and there will be wonderful music, dancing and storytelling on the night as well as food and refreshments for all.
The trip from Cahir is being organised by Kilcummin native Hugh O’Donoghue who now owns and runs The Shamrock Bar in the Tipperary town. The fun on the night will commence at 8.00pm.
Another night of quality entertainment in Kilcummin will be a dinner dance organised by the GAA Club’s Mothers and Others group.It will be held in the Killarney oaks Hotel on Friday, February 7 and the evening will feature a drinks reception followed by dinner and entertainment from The Three O’s and Thingamajig.
Ticket are €60 per person but those intending to go along can avail of an early bird discount by booking a table of 10 for €550.
