Tim was a popular porter at AIB in Killarney

THE death has occurred in Killarney of Tim Kelleher, formerly of Killaha, Glenflesk and late of Muckross Grove, Killarney.

Tim will be well remembered by many in the town from his days as the porter in AIB Bank on Main Street where his cheerful manner and welcoming ways always went down well with the public and made him hugely popular with his colleagues in the branch. He had spent several years prior to that working in the hotel and catering industry.

A great GAA man and a thorough gentleman, Tim passed away peacefully on Tuesday. in the care of the staff of Killarney Nursing Home.

Husband of the late Marie and father of Noel and Margaret, he is survived by his family, daughter-in-law Helen, son-in-law Seán (O’Riordan), his grandchildren Amy, Seán, Shane, Darren, Liam and Brian, his brother Fr Roger Kelleher and sister Nora Mai (O’Sullivan, Glenflesk).

He is further survived by his brothers-in-law Sonny and Timmy-Joe, niece, nephews, relatives, neighbours, his carer Kate, many dear friends and the staff and residents at Killarney Nursing Home.

In accordance with government and HSE guidelines, and in the interest of public health, a private funeral will take place for Tim, followed by cremation.

Killarney Legion GAA Club, for whom Tim’s son Noel played at all levels, has extended its sympathies to the Kelleher family.
