Two deaths and 23 new cases nationally

ONE new case of Covid-19 was confirmed in Kerry this Saturday with the total number of known infections in the county now rising to 311.

Nationally, two more people have died which brings the number of coronavirus related fatalities to 1,746 while 23 new cases have been confirmed which sees the total number of Covid-19 infections rise to 25,611.

A total of 8,273 healthcare workers are now known to have been infected and, nationally, 1,920 clusters have been observed.

The median age of those infected is 48 and the biggest age group affected is the 45-54 category with 4,582 known cases followed by those aged between 35 and 44 with 4,505 infections confirmed.

4,300 people aged between 25 and 34 have also contracted the virus.
